Hijabista cake baby!
This was a fairly simple cake I made for a childhood friend. I often call her owlie, been doing it since the age of nine.
Always stand up for yourself and follow your heart. Don’t let anyone ever make you feel like you are not worth it. They are the ones who are unhappy and are projecting it on you.
My mom always says this to me. Smart mama! She is right. There will always be let downers out there, haters are always going to hate. You just have be confident
This was my first ever fondant cake
Time sure flew by..I remember enrolling for my first cake decorating course class on my birthday November 13 of 2011. My father had passed away on November 4th, I had been in Dubai for a whole year. I wish I had more time with my father, but my mother wanted me to complete my studies in California. Times were tougher for me there, I was always missing my sick father and I myself became very physically sick. I had to return home and that was the best decision I made.
I got to spend time with my baba for a year, I wish I would have received more time. I did miss university but you have to lose something in order to gain. My father was more important. Inshallah I am going to complete university now, just remember me in your duas everyone 🙂
Joining the degree cake program in Dubai helped me see a new part that was hidden inside of me. I learned a lot and I am still learning. I am very passionate about what I do, about learning more each day. This isn’t limited to just cakes but even what I am learning in university now and just generally in life.
Keeping my faith strong!
I tend to lose my focus, a lot.
This is a beautiful reminder
